I received my delivery, and opened up my vape pen container that it came fresh in and I wanted to see. It was definitely smaller than I expected, but then again this is a disposable. Looked at it, and the fluid level that I was going to be starting at, and I wanted to keep track.
Now my doctor had gave the suggestion to keep a diary or a journal. I truly did start out this way, trying to write everything out on a little booklet I got specifically for this. But in the end my research lead me down different paths.
Just like everything out there, there is an app for that. Releaf is a good app to try out. It gives you the ability to document and keep track of your smoking sessions. How do you feel going in before smoking? What are you smoking with, what device? What strain are you smoking? How long is your puff? This app is available for google or android so its a handy little thing to have because your phone generally will be with you. A journal or diary you may forget.
I was trying to pay attention to how I felt before, during, and after smoking. How I felt was tricky to pay attention to, but the app gave suggestions, where the journal is all me trying to think about how to describe the feelings and what feelings I should write down.
After about 3 puffs at 2 seconds each, I started feeling my brain slow down from its current hyper racing state, and I began to relax. After 20 minutes I ended up smoking again another 3 puffs. And 20 minutes later another 3 puffs. Now I was feeling the way I needed to feel. Well almost. It was different. I was relaxed, but I could still function. I was able to do things still, and wasn’t all “couch locked” where I just don’t want to move. That is a huge plus in my book, so I was happy, but started to get worried about how fast I would go through this pen. How long would it last me? How often will I have to buy more. At $25 each, that isn’t so bad, but it can add up fast.
I sat there calculating, if it took this many puffs to feel like this, how long will this really last. When I did the math it came out to where I had to buy 3 pens each week. Here’s the thing, that isn’t even including the fact this pen literally is for me to get through my day. I truly needed a night time one as well to deal with my insomnia. That meant that I would spend even more going this route.
The next day, the problem got bigger, because I didn’t take into consideration my tolerance level increasing each day, so it will actually take more and more to get me to the same point as time went on. I had to come up with a new approach to this, because this clearly wasn’t enough. But what wasn’t enough? Was it the 1:1 ratio? Was it the “Soothe” strain of sorts? I already knew I was smoking more of this pen at night, because I was lacking the night time cannabis to get me to battle the insomnia.
I decided I needed to try and get a stronger daytime, as well as a night time for my next order for sure. At least I had a direction, and I could see how long these pens I ordered and have here will last me. Answer: 5 days
